"Casting Director's Sessions" with Alison McBryde - Sessions 1 & 2
Alison McBryde has worked as a Casting Director and Casting Associate for over 12 years on film and television projects such as Nicholas Nickleby, Pearl Harbor, Heat, Ali, Armageddon, The Insider, Carlito's Way and Dangerous Minds. Along the way, she has worked with top filmmakers and actors including Michael Mann, Robert Redford and Al Pacino. Alison recently completed work on Michael Bay's new film, The Island, with Ewan MacGregor and Scarlett Johannson. Alison is currently working on two independent feature films for directors Bruno Coppola and Richard Valentine.
Session 1 - Your Acting Career - Before You Make the Move to Los Angeles or New York!
For actors who are preparing to make the move to LA or NY, this three hour session will include: * The importance of training * Getting your SAG card before making the move to NY or LA * Your picture, resume and demo reel * Knowing Your Type * Special Skills * Agents and Managers * Casting Directors * Do's and Don'ts * Questions from students to cover their specific concerns.
Session 2 - Improve Your Audition Technique!
The 3-hour afternoon session will help you to improve your audition technique.
Alison McBryde will explain the auditioning process from the casting director's point of view, and teach you how to successfully navigate the complicated maze of auditions. You'll learn how to: * Begin a successful audition the moment you walk in the door * Research the project and the people involved * Master pre-reads, cold readings and screen tests * Stay relaxed and confident * Avoid common mistakes * Handle awkward situations * Follow-up, handle feedback and callbacks * And much more!
Bring your pictures and résumés! All students in the afternoon session will "audition" and be critiqued.

Session 2 - Audition Technique ~~~ 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm ~~~ $55
